Brunswick Pleasant Street Study – Maine Dept. of Transportation (2020)
We teamed up with TY Lin to provide the public outreach components of a study of the Pleasant Street Corridor in Brunswick, Maine which resulted in recommendations for safety and traffic improvements.
Dragon Cement (2010-2020)
This Thomaston, Maine producer of cement products retained us to facilitate a community advisory panel. The group met quarterly and served as a forum for learning and dialogue between plant managers and community leaders.
DuPont (formerly FMC) manufactures carrageenan in Rockland, Maine. As part of its Responsible Care initiative, the company retained us to facilitate a community advisory panel. The group met every two months and served as a forum for learning and dialogue between plant managers and community leaders.
Greater Portland Council of Governments – Working Communities Challenge (2020)
The Greater Portland Council of Governments (GPCOG) is organizing the development of a collaborative proposal to the Working Communities Challenge, a grant opportunity from the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. Craig has been hired to facilitate initial discussions among a wide array of players.
Greater Portland Council of Governments – Zoom Facilitation Training (2020)
The Greater Portland Council of Governments (GPCOG) is a nonprofit organization that assists with cooperative services such as bulk purchasing, transportation planning, data, mapping, and economic and community development. GPCOG’s members include 26 municipalities from Casco Bay to western Cumberland County, along with the County itself and other affiliate organizations. We were hired to deliver Zoom Facilitation Training to the GPCOG Staff.
Greater Portland Council of Governments – Chairs in a Circle (2020)
The Greater Portland Council of Governments (GPCOG) is a nonprofit organization that assists with cooperative services such as bulk purchasing, transportation planning, data, mapping, and economic and community development. GPCOG’s members include 26 municipalities from Casco Bay to western Cumberland County, along with the County itself and other affiliate organizations. We were hired to facilitate a session focusing on municipal budget responses to COVID-19.
Greater Portland Immigrant Welcome Center (2020)
The Greater Portland Immigrant Welcome Center serves as a hub of collaboration that strengthens the immigrant community through language acquisition, economic integration and civic engagement. We were hired to plan and facilitate a strategic planning Board Retreat.
Healthy Northern Kennebec (2020)
Healthy Northern Kennebec works on issues surrounding nutrition, substance use, and community health in the region around Waterville, Maine. We were hired to provide Zoom facilitation of Board and Coalition Meetings.
Kennebec Behavioral Health (2020)
Kennebec Behavioral Health promotes the well-being of persons who experience mental illness, emotional difficulties or behavioral challenges. KBH provides one of the most comprehensive community mental health centers in Maine, with 21 sites in central Maine, and programs reaching from Rockland to Lewiston. We were hired to facilitate a Senior Management Team Retreat.
Lubec School Board (2020)
Lubec is located in Washington County, Maine and is the most easternmost town in the contiguous United States. We were hired to plan and facilitate a retreat for the Lubec School Board.
Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention – Hazard Vulnerability Assessment (2020)
Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reviews vulnerabilities in areas such as epidemiology, emergency medical services, weather services, and much more. We were hired to facilitate a meeting with statewide stakeholders to discuss and score the relative risks of potential hazardous events and situations in Maine.
Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention – Public Health Assessments by District (2020)
Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reviews vulnerabilities in areas such as epidemiology, emergency medical services, weather services, and much more. We were hired to facilitate 20 meetings for Maine CDC to assess public health infrastructure, competencies, and capacities. We met with public health officials around the State of Maine. Marlene Flaherty was the lead facilitator on this project.
Maine Department of Professional and Financial Regulation (2020)
The Maine Department of Professional and Financial Regulation licenses, examines, and audits financial institutions, the insurance industry, and numerous other professions and occupations providing services to the public. We were hired to facilitate a series of workshops as part of a leadership training program for the Department.
Maine Family Planning (2020)
Maine Family Planning works to ensure that all Maine people have access to high-quality, affordable reproductive health care, comprehensive sexual health education, and the right to control their reproductive lives. They hired Craig to coach the staff on how to organize and participate in good group online meetings.
Maine Municipal Bond Bank (2020)
The Maine Municipal Bond Bank was created in 1971 by the Maine State Legislature. The agency provides Maine’s cities, towns, school systems, water and sewer districts, and other governmental entities access to low cost capital funds through the sale of its highly rated tax-exempt bonds. We were hired to provide Zoom coaching and resource materials for staff and board members.
Maine SNAP-Ed (2020)
Made up of over 35 Nutrition Educators and Program Coordinators statewide, Maine SNAP-Ed provides nutrition education services in settings like schools, food pantries, Head Starts and other child care settings, grocery stores, and regional DHHS offices. We were hired to plan and deliver a Leadership Development Training Seminar.
Natural Resources Council of Maine (2020)
Perhaps the state’s premier environmental advocacy organization, NRCM has hired Craig to design and facilitate an all-staff discussion about tribal sovereignty.
Owls Head Transportation Museum (2019 – 2020)
The Owls Head Transportation Museum is a nonprofit educational organization which collects, preserves, exhibits and operates pre-1940 aircraft, ground vehicles, engines and related technologies significant to the evolution of transportation for the purpose of education. We worked with the Board and Senior Staff to help them develop a strategic plan.
Region 10 Technical High School (2019 – 2020)
Region 10 Technical High School provides opportunities for students to acquire analytical skills, experience and knowledge through dynamic, engaging, hands on lessons. We were hired to plan and facilitate a strategic planning process in order to establish a clear plan for going forward, strengthen community connections, and support economic growth in the greater Brunswick region.
Regional School Unit (RSU) 9 – Farmington (2019 – 2020)
RSU 9 serves students from the Mt. Blue Regional School District in Maine. We were hired to facilitate a strategic planning process for the school district.
Saint-Gobain Community Advisory Council (2019 – 2020)
Located in New Hampshire, Saint-Gobain is the world leader in the habitat and construction markets – designing, manufacturing and distributing building and high-performance materials, providing innovative solutions to the challenges of growth, energy efficiency and environmental protection. We were hired to plan and facilitate a forum for dialogue between plant leaders and community leaders.
Skowhegan Bridge Study – Maine Dept. of Transportation – (2019 – 2020)
The Maine Department of Transportation has teamed up with the engineering firm TY Lin to perform a feasibility study of a new bridge across the Kennebec River in Skowhegan. South Portland City Council (2020)
South Portland, Maine is an oceanfront city with population of 25,000, a community college, and diverse commercial and residential neighborhoods. As in past years, we were hired to facilitate an annual goal-setting workshop for the City Council.
South Portland Police Services Review Working Group (2020-21)
The South Portland City Council has established a multi-stakeholder working group to review how the Police Department serves the community and responds to calls. They will be making recommendations to the City Council. Craig has been selected to facilitate the Working Group and prepare the report of recommendations. Teens To Trails (2020)
Teens To Trails works to increase opportunities for Maine teens to experience the outdoors, and supports high school Outing Clubs across the State. We were hired to plan and facilitate a long-range planning meeting for the Board.
The Children’s Cabinet and Maine Department of Education (2020)
The Children’s Cabinet is a coalition of 5 State of Maine Departments who serve children. In collaboration with the Department of Education they have hired Craig to design and facilitate a series of regional forums for providers of birth-five care and education.
Waterville City Council (2020)
The City of Waterville, Maine on the banks of the Kennebec River, is home to about 16,000 people. We were hired to facilitate a workshop for members of the City Council.
Youth and Family Outreach (2020)
Youth and Family Outreach creates opportunities that support learning and enhance the quality of life for children, teens, and families in Greater Portland. Similar to last year, we were hired to facilitate a Board Retreat.
